When I started at Aqua Finance in 2013, our F&I process looked more like someone in the middle of doing home improvement than a streamlined system. We would get contracting information from dealers over the phone and through fax, and then manually re-enter everything on our end. It was truly archaic and allowed too much room for human error.
One of our overall goals has always been to stand out and grow responsibly as a diverse organization within several industries, so we needed a change that would help make that happen.
In 2015, the two big players in the market that we saw were Dealertrack and AppOne®. We got presentations from both, and it quickly became obvious that AppOne was the platform that would give us the invaluable ability to stand behind our contracts with the confidence that they’re correct and complete every time.
We got started by a great team, and it was a very favorable relationship for us to jump into and start building our business based on the AppOne model.
Years later, the team is still easily accessible and we take advantage of that a lot. Every time we reach out, they try to understand not just what we’re asking, but how steps can be taken to get there as well. They understand our needs and are always there to make sure they’re met.
Being the sixth-largest lender in the marine space, having a process that keeps us at our best is extremely important. AppOne being on our side allows us ease of operations, and that helps contribute to our great relationships with dealerships. We’re able to venture into new markets, which helps us to grow.
Working with AppOne has always been a positive experience, and we have a real partner in them.
